Photonics is the engineering of light for optical communications, lasers, and lithography, and it sits underneath most of the AI buildout. Every modern training cluster moves data between GPUs over optical transceivers, and every leading-edge fab depends on photolithography. The pure-play public names are a small group, and the leveraged ETF universe targeting them is smaller still. Below is the full list as of September 2026. For live numbers on any of these, use our lookup table here.

Photonics stocks are volatile, and a 2x product on a volatile underlying decays fast if you hold it through a choppy stretch.

Sector wrapper

  • EUVX: Corgi Lithography & Semiconductor Photonics 2x Daily ETF

The only thematic wrapper on the market. It gives 2x daily exposure to a basket of lithography names (ASML, AMAT, LRCX, KLAC) and semiconductor photonics companies rather than tracking the broad chip sector. Corgi launched it in June 2026, so it trades thinly and has no listed options yet.

Single-stock leveraged ETFs

Four pure-play photonics names have leveraged ETFs written against them.

Lumentum (LITE) makes optical components for AI datacenter interconnect. It is the most heavily covered photonics underlying here: four issuers run competing 2x long products, plus one inverse.

Coherent (COHR) makes optical transceivers, lasers, and components used across the lithography and industrial supply chains.

Applied Optoelectronics (AAOI) builds fiber-optic transceivers for hyperscale customers. The underlying is smaller and more volatile than Lumentum, so the 2x version moves hard in both directions.

Corning (GLW) makes specialty glass, fiber optics, and display substrates. It is the most diversified business on this list and the least of a pure photonics play, so the leveraged version tracks broader industrial and display cycles as well.

Risk warning: Leveraged and inverse ETFs are complex products with daily reset mechanics that cause meaningful decay over time. They are intended for short-term tactical trading, not long-term holding. This post is informational only and is not investment advice.
